Back At It

I finally go back to school Sunday, and I’m so excited!  To be able to be free to do anything I want, within reason, and not have to worry about being bothered to do things I don’t want to.  I can’t wait to see all my friends and soon make more friends.  This year being I already graduated from my volunteer program I’m going to have to find something to do; a few clubs and organizations should keep me occupied and out of my room.  I was reading Angel’s latest blog post about her last teenage summer and I remembered its my last too; I will be 20 on April 1.  My teenage years were cool and I have mentally grown and learned a lot about responsibility.  I do wish I spent more time with my friends hanging out instead of being insecure and worrying about my mom and dad’s arguing, but I have the rest of my life to hang out with my friends.

Unfortunately I had to get a replacement laptop because my Dell Inspirion 1520 had a faulty hard drive and didn’t load Windows anymore and plus I lost the CD’s Dell gave me to fix it.  So thankfully my Aunt was kind enough to buy me another one;  She got me the Dell Studio 1555 and I love it!  It’s so sleak, shiny, and sexy and to think I wanted a Mac, Macbook ain’t got nothing on a PC but a sexy look!

This year I want to try a new hairstyle, something different from what I usually get.  I was going to get a mohawk but now everyone seems to have one so I don’t want to add to that trend lol.  I was looking at John Legend’s hair and I really like it; the little twist that looks like a small afro, I think it would look on me so I’m going to have to grow my hair out again and see how it turns out.  I really don’t want to try a hairstyle with chemicals involved, I need to stay natural.  Thankfully I know some black girls at school who do hair, but I may wait till I get back home to a salon.

Hmm I have some editing to do and thanks for the nice comments on the new site!

So do you like the new website? Instead of having two personal websites to manage I combined my portfolio and blog into one site.  I had no inspiration or energy to sit down and come up with a new design for my website, so luckily I found N’talia to make one for me; she is a good artist and her prices are very reasonable, and for the work she does I’m surprised she doesn’t charge extra lol.  I still have some work to do around the site, all in time.

I have an entire month left till school starts and honestly I am ready to leave.  My summer was okay, and if you have been reading my post throughout these last two months then you know what has happened.  My faith is being tested everyday and I’m learning to trust in God more in more.  I pray all the time whenever I feel down or worried about what is or is going to happen.  I wont go into detail of all the events in my life because I am a private person.  I still haven’t found a job yet and I am still trying to find one.  Most company’s do not like seasonal applicants, which is what I am being I go to school full-time.  I’m hoping I get one before mid-August so I can have some pocket change or something.  Thankfully my Grandma offerred to provide me with money for books and any other school expenses for both semesters; I am so thankful God blessed me with a Grandma like her!   Plus on top of that my Mom was approved for the loan to send me back to school, God is good.
